This is a post in my ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) effort to follow-up on Tech Tuesday trainings I provide to my school. I will do my best to upload materials and a short tutorial video in case you could not get away during your planning period this week. Below, check out a 15-minute recap on YouTube and the handouts provided during the session.
iBook Author Pt1 – Getting Started with Your Own Textbook or Writing Portfolio Ready to be your own author? Using Apple’s templates, we will plan out your own textbook or a template for a student portfolio. Learn how to use chapters, sections and start writing in an iBook, which can be media-intensive, interactive or even text-driven. Also learn how to import already-existing writing from Word or Pages into your book sections.
Resources:
- The iBooks Getting Started PDF from Apple is a good printable reference to the topics I cover in the video.
- Apple always does a good job populating their app-specific Help pages, too. Here’s the one for iBooks Author. There are links here that explain how to publish your book, which I stop short of covering in training.
